Love That Cross

Pastor John Collins

Love That Cross believes in the written word of God in its entirety.  2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

We know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was sent to this world by God to die for our sins and was resurrected the third day.  Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."  Mark 16:15-16.  We believe that all Christians should be baptized, if it is possible, but that baptism should come with the age of maturity and a choice to leave behind the old life and begin to live a new life in Christ Jesus.

Love That Cross is not about the prosperity doctrine and is determined to change Christianity of today.  We should not be seeking our personal material desires through God, nor should we believe that by giving money to fake healers, greedy preachers and skillful liars will get us into heaven.  God knows whether you tithe or not and that is between you and God.  We want you to become true Disciples of Christ and to live your life accordingly.  We are not here to manipulate you for your money.

Love That Cross is not a church with rules and rituals.  We do not hold to dogma.  We are here to serve God and Jesus Christ.  We know that religion is man-made and we do not believe that there should be differences between denominations or that there should be rules to loving Jesus.  We keep it simple and follow the Holy Bible which has God's rules and we follow those.  We are not politically correct but are biblically correct.  We honor God and Jesus and are not here to please man.

Love That Cross is not judgmental and we welcome all.  We know that Jesus said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who sick.  I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."  Luke 5:31-32.  It is our goal to reach the lost and it is our belief that many of those lost attend church regularly.  We know that there is apathy in Christianity and the hearts of people.  We are here to inspire true faith in others and to help people reevaluate their priorities so that they can begin to live lives that shine for Jesus.
